Global Clean Water Crisis

For every sip of fresh clean water, a child somewhere is not so lucky. The global demand for water is doubling every 20 years, and by 2025, more than 2.8 billion people are expected to be living in either water-scarce or water-stressed regions.

Millions of parents watch their children die due to preventable waterborne diseases. Children literally are living with constant pain from infections.

More than 3.4 million people die each year from water, sanitation, and hygiene-related causes. Nearly all deaths, 99 percent, occur in the developing world.

Contaminated water causes 1.5 million deaths a year, 2.5 billion people live without basic sanitation and one in six people does not have access to clean water.
